So today my mom, sister, grandmother, and myself all went to Phipps Conservatory. A yearly tradition for us to do and we of course enjoyed it immensly, as we do every year. I love to take pictures of flowers so it's always one of my favorite places to go. Unfortunately I am still getting used to my new camera and certain areas of the conservatory were just too dark even with the flash, however, I still got some really, really nice pictures so I'm going to post some of my more favorites. Because everybody loves my pictures, my mother is of course offering me up to friends and family, not that I mind, I often offer myself because going to the studios nowadays is getting rather expensive (I had a job interview at one of the studios, which I will not mention the name, but it is one that my mother had taken me to when I was a kid...anywho they did not care how well you could take a picture, all they cared about is how well you can sell, and the woman showed me a picture frame and asked me to guess the price, well it was a larger one that held up to 5 pictures, but it was very cheap looking and rather plain so I guessed around $75, it was $150...how ridiculous is that). Anywho I disagree with studios, I understand they are a business just like anyone else but at the same time people are getting pictures taken to make memories and it is supposed to be an enjoyable, stress free experience for everyone and yet every time I am in one the people responsible for choosing and paying for pictures are annoyed beyond belief and frustrated to the point that they do begin to nitpick at little things and they feel so sick to their stomach at that point that picture day becomes one of the most hated events for a family. Which is why if I ever do open up my own photography studio, it will be my mission to make sure that customers actually enjoy it and are able to make happier memories.
So below are some of my favorite pictures of the day:
